Announcement    Give one of my stuffed organs as a get well present to help you or your loved one smile and have something to throw across the room! Just an anatomy geek? Never fear, you're welcomed here, too!

In 2010, I was diagnosed with Large Diffuse B-cell Lymphoma. I was 25 and a newly wed. I went through six rounds of Hyper CVAD chemotherapy and in 2011, I was declared to be in remission.

I fought to find myself and to figure out what that means. I survived chemo and the physical and mental side effects and found that my fiber artistry is the key to my well being. I've now brought that to you with my handmade organs.

The whole idea behind Survival Organs is that we're all equipped with the stuff we need to survive life and the crazy stuff that comes in. It just takes some digging and self care to find where we put them. My lymph nodes are just an external reminder that we've got that "right stuff". And that's what I learned from chemo. You do have the "guts" face something huge like cancer.

In 2010 I was diagnosed with Large Diffuse B Cell Lymphoma at 25 years old. From that moment on, I learned to love my body and the wonderful things it can do. My mind, my heart and my immune system were my organs for survival.
